Dr. Hagar Sherif is an Associate Professor of Oral Biology and the current Head of the Department of Biological and Diagnostic Sciences within the Faculty of Dentistry at Beirut Arab University (BAU). A dedicated educator and researcher in the field of dental medicine, Dr. Hagar Sherif combines senior institutional leadership with highly specialized scientific inquiry to advance both the academic curriculum and foundational oral health knowledge.

Dr. Hagar Sherif’s primary research program centers heavily on the histological analysis of dental and periodontal structures. Utilizing precise histomorphometric techniques, ultrastructural evaluations, and immunohistochemical profiling, her work investigates the intricate tissue layers, cellular microenvironments, and extracellular matrices that govern oral pathology and healing mechanisms. In addition to finding innovative, therapeutic safeguards to mitigate oral tissue damage and bone loss.
